To meet community needs we’ve shifted from welcoming walk-ins to scheduled appointments only at all Bloodworks Donor Centers – to keep everyone safe. Additionally, we’ve spaced out center appointments, paused all mobile blood drives (buses and inside drives) until May 3rd, and no one under age 16 is permitted on-site. These measures ensure safe social distancing and a safe, controlled experience at our centers for all donors and staff. It’s important for donors to keep their appointments, and make future appointments in April and May now to ensure blood stays available in our community as we weather this pandemic together. More Info On Covid-19 UPDATE: On April 2, 2020 the FDA issued a new guidance on deferral criteria for a number of areas , including a revised deferral period for men who have sex with men (MSM); Variant Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease, tattoos/piercings, travel, and others. We applaud the FDA’s decision an important step toward creating an equal opportunity to save lives.
